March Favourites | 2016

Can you believe that the third month of 2016 has come and gone? I swear I start every favourites post with the same disbelief that another month has gone in a blink of an eye. Before you know it, it will be Christmas but before that happens I thought I would give you a run down of my favourite beauty products from the month of March. I have gathered my favourites which consist of a blusher, a eye palette, a couple of lip products and a nail polish.

First up is the H&M Pure Velvet Cream Blusher in 'Dusty Rose'. I brought this cream blusher back in February but never really got around to using it until the beginning of March and that's when I fell in love with it. The cream to powder formula is creamy and smooth and blends into the cheeks very smoothly. This has to be one of the most pigmented and long lasting cream blushers I have ever used and is a firm favourite of mine. The other product I have been obsessed with lately has been the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette which contains cool toned neutrals colours which I wear on an everyday basis. The texture of these eyeshadows is unbelievable and worth checking out.

One of the lip products I have been rocking is the Relvon Colourstay Moisture Stain in 'Barcelona Nights' which I reviewed a couple of weeks back. I had heard mixed reviews about this product but I love wearing it. It applies evenly over the lips and wears away to a light stain while still being hydrating. The other product I have been wearing during March is the Maybelline Colour Sensational Lip Liner in 'Midnight Plum' which is a deep purple plum shade. I find that this lip liner is smooth and soft and makes other lipsticks last longer. Lastly I have been wearing the H&M Nail Polish in 'Green as Gold' which is a gold nail polish that has a hint of green to it and is beautiful.

What are were your March Favourites?

A Little Beauty Haul | Easter

Happy Easter! I hope you all are having a wonderful Easter Sunday and eating as much chocolate as possible because I definitely am! Anyway the other day I popped into a outlet shopping centre and ended up walking away with a few products and I thought I would share them with you. I picked up a couple of body and bath products as well as a sneaky order from make up revolution.

The first place I went to was The Body Shop and I picked up a shower gel in the scent 'Satsuma' as I was in need of a new one and I find the scent fruity and fresh. I also stopped by Boots and brought the Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Texturing Spray as I have heard so many bloggers raving about this product and felt the need to try for myself. I will definitely report back about how I got on with it. The other body product I brought was the Victoria Secret Body Mist in Pure Seduction (funny name!) which is my favourite scent to wear.

Along with the bath and body products, I also picked up three make up products. Recently a new cosmetic shop opened in the outlet centre and I popped in not knowing what to expect but ended up coming out with a Mac Matte Eyeshadow in Wow Factor which is a light purple shade. Along with this I also picked up a L'oreal Caresse Lipstick in Impulsive Fushsia. I thought I would add in a sneaky purchase from Make Up Revolution which is the Fortune Favours The Brave by the British Beauty Blogger. I can't wait to try out this palette and will report back to you.

What have you brought recently?

Travel Bucket List | 2016

I have always loved travelling however over the last couple of years life has got in the way but this year there are a few amazing places that I would love to visit. Most of the places I would love to visit are in Europe as this is a place that I haven't previously visited and is a place that really interests me. As I drown in a pile of university essays, I thought I would give you a round up of my travel bucket list for this year.

One place that I would love to visit has to be Paris. As I live in England, I am not actually that far away but have never got around to visiting the beautiful city of Paris. Hopefully sometime this year I will be lucky enough travel there and on the top of my list would be the Eiffel tower as it is a classic tourist spot as well as picking up some French skincare.

Another place that is on my bucket list is the Bahamas. I have a few friends that live out in the Bahamas and the idea of joining them sounds amazing! The idea of sitting by a pool and slipping smoothies or swimming around in the clear blue seas makes my heart sing with happiness. Who doesn't want to go to the Bahamas?!

Next up is Italy. This is another place in Europe that I have had my eye on as it looks breath taking and stunning. One spot in particular that I would love to visit is the Trevi Foundation which I first saw featured in the Lizzie McGuire movie (remember that?!) and of course I would need to make a wish. If you have any places to visit in Italy do let me know!

The last place on my list has to be Iceland as it sounds and looks like a stunning and unique place. The Blue Lagoon looks like my type of holday and pamper place as it involves a massive outdoor pool with face masks. A couple of months back I watched some vlogs of the blue lagoon and became obsessed with it and will definitely need to visit it at some point in my life.

What places are on your bucket list?

Tanya Burr Eyeshadow Palettes | Hollywood & Galaxy

When Tanya Burr first announced she was relaunching her make up line, I checked out some of the products and I was very excited to see that she had added a few eyeshadow palettes to the original line up. Since then I have been dying to get my hands on these eyeshadow palettes but they always seem to be out of stock whenever I try and buy them. But the other day I was walking around Superdrug when I noticed a stand of her products and immediately picked up two eyeshadow palettes.

The first palette I picked up was the 'Hollywood Palette' which contains a range warm toned brown shades ideal for creating a smoky look. The shade 'Enchantment' is stunning in the pan but my personally favourite has to be 'Bookwarm' as it gives a certain warmth to the eye lids. The size of each eyeshadow is great and compares to the Mac ones.

This palette contains four brown toned eyeshadows; Nude Delight - a white matte shade, Gold Coin - a light golden brown shade, Bookworm - a warm matte brown shade and Enchantment - a shimmery golden brown shade which contains chunks of glitter. The pigmentation of these shades are on a whole very strong but I will mention that Gold Coin isn't as intense as the others. In terms of texture, they are very buttery and blend into the eye lids easily.

The second palette I picked up was the 'Galaxy Palette' which contains more neutral shades that I normally wear more often. The packaging of both palettes is simple but a bit young for me as it is aimed more at a young audience I'm guessing. My favourite shades from this palette include Moonlight and Stormy Sky which can be used together to give definition to the eyes. I also love using Starry Night as a liner along the lashline.

This palette includes four natural shades; Snow Flake - A pearl white shimmery shade, Moon Light - A shimmery sliver shade, Stormy Sky - A matte mauve purple shade and Starry Night which is a lovely dark black shade with shimmer to it. All of these shades have wonderful pigmentation and the texture is very soft and glides onto the eye lids smoothly. Overall I would say these palettes are a great starting point if your new to make up but are still a great addition to get make up collection.

What are your thoughts on these palettes?

3 Lip Products, 1 Review

Recently I have been trying a range of different lip products and instead of writing a review about each of them I thought I would combine the reviews together for a little post. The three products that I have been wearing and trying are the Rimmel Provocalips in 'Make Your Move', Maybelline Super Stay 24 Colour and Relvon Colourstay Moisture Strain in 'Barcelona Nights'. All of these lip products have a matte formula to them and are designed and marketed to be long lasting and I thought I would share my thoughts with you.

The Rimmel Provocalips in 'Make Your Move' is a nude brown colour which can be described as a 'your lips but better' shade. The intense colour glides onto the lips evenly and the top coat seals the colour onto the lips and it doesn't move. The lasting power is unbelievable as the product didn't move from my lips and at the end of the day, even cleansing oil and make up remover couldn't move it. That is the only problem I found with this product but other than that I love wearing it.

The Maybelline Superstay 24 Colour is a similar product to the previous one as it contains a colour gloss at one end and a conditioning balm at the other. I would describe the colour as shimmery purple brown nude which may seem like an odd shade but it really gives the lips that wonderful extra something. The intense colour glides across the lips and sets very quickly and becomes sticky but the conditioning balm softens and smooths the lips. Again the lasting power is amazing but does require scrubbing at the end of the day.

The other product being the Revlon Colourstay Moisture Strain in 'Barcelona Nights' is a wonderful berry toned red ideal for the winter months. This product is slightly different from the two above as it is a strain. The product applys evenly across the lips giving an intense pop of colour. Throughout the day the colour does wear off through drinking and eating but the lips are left with a berry stain while still leaving the lips feeling smooth and soft. I will add that it comes off easily with micellar water when removing make up

Overall I really enjoy wearing all three of these products and they are worth a try. If you are ever in the market to try a new long lasting lip product I would recommend picking up one of these as they all have long lasting power.

Have you tried any of these products before? What did you think?

L'oreal Extraordinary Clay Haircare Range

When I was walking around Boots the other week, I spotted a new haircare range from L'oreal that was aimed that oily roots and dry ends which appealed to me so I picked up a couple of their products. The idea of targeting oily roots was something that interested me as I try not to wash my hair too often as it takes a while. The light blue packaging is very sleek and almost spring like which I adore and has a light fresh scent which isn't too over powering.

L'oreal  Extraordinary Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
The first product I picked up was this anti-dandruff shampoo rather than the rebalancing shampoo as I suffer with dandruff. I found this shampoo amazing to use as it as a pleasant scent and leaves my hair clean and soft.. This shampoo also lathers up nicely and washes out of the hair with no problem. I would recommend trying this if your in the market for a new shampoo.

Next up is a rebalancing conditioner as there wasn't any anti dandruff conditioner. However saying this, I love using this conditioner as it makes the hair smooth and soft and gets rid of any knots. I also find that this conditioner makes my hair look shiny, healthier and refreshed and has the same fresh scent and matches the shampoo perfectly.

This Clay Masque is a pre shampoo treatment which you use before shampoo and conditioner and you apply it to your roots and leave it for five minutes and then rise it out. When I first tried this, I wasn't convinced about this treatment but after using it a couple of times, I have noticed that my roots are not as oily which means I can go longer without washing my hair. Overall I would recommend trying this range as it controls the oil in the roots and hydrates hair tips.

Have you tried this range before? What did you think?

Rosie For Autograph | Eyeshadow Palette

When I first heard that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was releasing a make up range with Marks & Spencer I was so excited and made a trip to M&S to do a few swatches and ended up picking up the eyeshadow palette in 'I Feel Like a Million Dollars' which contains four neutral shades. The thing that caught my eye when I first researched this range, the packaging that took my breath away as it looks very high end. The gorgeous packaging is a rose gold and copper mirrored texture which is beautiful but it does attract fingerprints.

The actual palette contains four beautiful yet versatile shades which can be used to create a natural day look as well as a smoky night look with a pearl white, light brown, a champagne pink, and grey with shimmer to it. The texture is very buttery and blend able but I will mention that pigmentation is not as intense as others but the colour can be built up and is great for a wash of colour across the eyelids.

Overall I will say that this eyeshadow palette is stunning and has some amazing eyeshadows that although may not be as intensity pigmented but does create a subtle and soft look which is great for a natural eye look as well as for beginners who are nervous about trying eyeshadows. If your thinking about trying an eyeshadow palette from the Rosie For Autograph I would recommend you do as mine will be staying in my make up collection for years to come.

Have you tried any products from this range?
